Furikake is a mixture of roasted, salted seaweed and sesame seeds, ground into a powder. It was invented during World War II to enhance Japanese sailors' rice bowls. Very popular in Japan, it comes in many different flavors. This furikake is produced by our sesame farmer with roasted sesame seeds in soy sauce, sea lettuce, and sansho berries to add its characteristic tangy freshness. It is additive-free.

This tasty organic sansho furikake can of course be sprinkled on rice but can also accompany tofu, grilled fish, meat, yakisoba and other pasta dishes or even pizza!
